SwapIt

Listing Policy

Last updated: 10 October 2026

Before you list. List only things you own, with real photos you took of the exact item, and an honest description including any faults. Keep phone numbers and other contact details out of your listing: buyers message you in the app. Some things are never allowed on SwapIt. This policy also applies to things you add on Trade and items you offer in a swap.

2. Photos and videos

Photos must be real photos you took yourself of the exact item you are listing. We do not allow:

Show the front and the back, and any damage. A short video is welcome and is checked the same way.

5. No contact details

Do not put phone numbers, WhatsApp, emails, social media handles, websites, bank details or payment links in listings, photos, titles, descriptions, Trade items, comments or your profile. Buyers and sellers talk and pay in the app, which keeps everyone protected. Messages are checked and may be stopped if they share contact details.

7. Never allowed on SwapIt

Whatever the category, you must never list, swap or offer:

8. How we check listings

We use automated checks, including AI, and people on our team to review photos, videos and descriptions, sometimes before a listing goes live. A listing may be:

Checks reduce risk but cannot catch everything, and passing a check is not a guarantee by SwapIt about an item. If you think we made a mistake, contact us and a person will review it.

9. If a listing breaks this policy

We may hold, edit how it is shown, hide or remove the listing, cancel deals connected to it, hold payments, limit your account, or close it. Serious or repeated breaches, fraud, stolen or illegal items may lead to an immediate ban and a report to the authorities.

10. Reporting a listing

If you see something that breaks this policy, report it from the listing in the app, or email support@swapit.co.uk. See also our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
